The blog today is about a very small painting that has a very powerful message.
This little painting is made for a small, but important space in a home that is yearning for some beauty and ambiance. The size (26” x15”) is also conducive for a small room or apartment and lends itself well for adding color and a touch of elegance. Its a transitional style which is functional for contemporary or traditional settings.
“Blossoming Entourage” is an original in which I chose to paint the beauty and elegance of nature and flowers….one of my favorite subjects. While I was painting the flowers, I introduced some metallic gold to enhance the elegance of the filtered light coming down through the composition. As I created this aspect, I thought of the importance of the contrast that exhibits light and dark together. It always creates more drama in the scene and similarly, the same in life.
You would agree with me that the not so good things that happen in life present a framework that really helps us understand ourselves better and brings more balance into our lives…...especially when we can accept the differences so that this frame of reference makes the light more wonderful and so much more powerful to us. So this painting is a reminder that both work together for our best interest. The acceptance of the darkness makes life more beautiful because of the drama and meaningful understanding we gain in those situations.
Journal your meaningful thoughts in reference to this little blog. Search out in your own life the important times when you have learned hard lessons in life, and how you see things at the moment… what have you learned. Cud dos to you. Now, see if there are any dramatic events in your life, that you have not wanted to even come close to and have maybe stuffed it into a dark hidden place in the attic. I had a place like that in my life and had to do the work until it became evident and real, which meant I had to make a decision on how I was going to deal with it. It ended up being the reason why I came here to planet Earth. It was my calling to destiny and if I missed the attic, I would have missed the reason why I came. Yes, that could have been my ultimate mistake. Of course it takes guts to face the darkness and bad happenings, and yet there is a way to deal with it and come out of it into total freedom and light that brings understanding of the purpose it presents. Be well and whole my friends.
